WE DESIGN LABELS INC. (WD Labels) is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Print Production Technician to join our growing production team in Kelowna, BC.

We specialize in manufacturing high-quality custom printed labels for businesses across various industries. This is a hands-on position involving digital printing equipment, label finishing machinery, quality control, and general production operations.

Entry-level applicants are welcome! No previous printing experience is required. We provide hands-on training and are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, dependable, and interested in developing technical skills in the printing industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Printing Press Operations: Assist with setting up, operating, and monitoring digital printing presses and other production equipment.
- Material Handling: Prepare, load, and unload rolls of label stock, including paper, BOPP, and other printing materials.
- Production Support: Assist with machine setup, job changeovers, material feeding, and monitoring production runs.
- Quality Control: Inspect printed labels for colour consistency, registration accuracy, print defects, and overall product quality.
- Label Finishing: Assist with die-cutting, laminating, slitting, rewinding, and other finishing processes.
- Packing & Shipping: Count, inspect, pack, and prepare finished label rolls for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine machine cleaning and assist with basic equipment maintenance.
- Production Records: Maintain accurate documentation of production quantities, material usage, and quality concerns.
- Workplace Organization: Keep production equipment, workstations,



and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Safety Compliance: Follow company safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Skills & Qualifications

- No Previous Printing Experience Required: Training will be provided.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working with machinery and willing to learn new equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify product defects and maintain quality standards.
- Physical Ability: Capable of standing for extended periods, handling material rolls, and performing repetitive production tasks.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable working with measurements, quantities, and production specifications.
- Communication: Ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Teamwork: Willingness to assist across different production departments.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in printing, manufacturing, packaging, or machine operation is considered an asset but is not required.
