Are you fluent in French and enjoy helping children learn?
Oxford Learning is looking for enthusiastic, reliable French tutors to help students build their language skills, confidence and independence. We're looking for people who enjoy working with children, can explain concepts clearly and bring positive energy to every lesson.
What We're Looking For
- Strong written and spoken French and English.
- Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- Previous tutoring, teaching or coaching experience preferred.
- Ability to work with students of different ages and learning levels.
- Excellent communication skills, patience and enthusiasm for teaching.
- Reliable availability for at least 2 shifts per week, Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday evenings (4:00–7:00 pm or 4:00–8:30 pm) and/or Saturdays (9:30 am–2:00 pm).
- Ability to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Non-native French speakers must demonstrate French proficiency equivalent to CEFR C1 or C2.
What You'll Do
- Teach up to 3 students at a time using Oxford Learning's established teaching methods.
- Support students in French and English,
including French Immersion programs.
- Follow individualized learning programs and track student progress.
- Help students develop stronger reading, writing and language skills.
- Create a positive, engaging and encouraging learning environment.
