- Shopping Mall Employment Type: Full-Time Site Overview This high-profile position operates at one of Burnaby's largest and busiest shopping centres. It is an active retail hub that combines daily community engagement, high foot traffic, and a focus on safety and customer service. As Security Manager, you will oversee day-to-day security operations and lead our team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Leading daily security operations to ensure all team members follow company policies, safety standards, and operational guidelines. Managing incident responses by reviewing investigations, resolving complaints, and taking appropriate corrective action. Coaching, mentoring, and developing supervisors and guards to promote accountability, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. Maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, contractual requirements, and service level agreements. Building strong client relationships through regular communication, detailed reporting, site inspections, and proactive problem-solving. At least 5 years of security experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Proven experience managing staffing, scheduling,



performance evaluations, and team development. In-depth knowledge of security operations, incident investigation, emergency response, and customer service best practices. Strong administrative and organizational skills, including experience tracking operational performance and drafting reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Proficiency with CCTV software such as Genetec and Avigilon. Flexibility to work varied hours when required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to respond to site emergencies. Experience working in a retail, shopping centre, or commercial property environment.
