Sales Associate – Printing & Engraving StoreJob Overview

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Sales Associate to join our printing and engraving store. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with customers, have an eye for detail, and be comfortable helping clients choose products, prepare orders, and bring their ideas to life.

This position involves providing excellent customer service, preparing quotes, processing orders, answering inquiries, and coordinating with the team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service in-store, by phone, email, and online.
- Understand customers' needs and recommend appropriate printing, engraving, promotional, and personalized products.
- Prepare quotes, estimates, invoices, and sales orders accurately.
- Assist customers with personalized orders, including names, logos, artwork, sizes, colors, and other specifications.
- Review customer-provided artwork and files for basic quality, size, and printing/engraving requirements.
- Communicate with the design and production team regarding customer specifications and special requests.
- Enter and maintain customer orders accurately in the store's ordering or POS system.
- Follow up with customers regarding proofs, approvals, payments, pickups, and order status.
- Process payments and maintain accurate sales records.
- Respond to customer inquiries through phone, email, social media, and other communication channels.
- Help customers select products such as signs, business cards, apparel, awards, plaques,



gifts, promotional products, mugs, tumblers, and engraved items.
- Upsell and cross-sell products and services when appropriate.
- Ensure customer orders are clearly documented and meet the requested specifications.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing completed orders for pickup or delivery.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and professional sales area and showroom.
- Help with production tasks when required, including preparing materials and operating or assisting with printing/engraving equipment after training.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and work toward satisfactory solutions.
- Meet sales and customer-service goals.
- Perform other duties related to store operations as required.

Requirements

- Previous experience in sales, retail, customer service, printing, engraving, or a related field is an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills and Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working with computers, email, POS systems, and basic office software.
- Ability to learn printing, engraving, and production processes.
- Ability to understand measurements, dimensions, quantities, and product specifications.




- Ability to multitask and prioritize several customer orders at once.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience with graphic design software such as CorelDRAW is an asset but not required.
- Experience with laser engraving, sublimation, vinyl cutting, UV printing, DTF printing, or other personalized-product production is an asset.
