We blend tradition with fresh ideas, pushing boundaries to create wines that celebrate creativity, depth, and the story of our region. You’ll find us minutes from downtown Penticton, tucked at the start of the Naramata Bench and steps off the Kettle Valley Trail.

We take our wine seriously and ourselves a little less so. If you can talk dosage and disgorgement with a wine lover, then turn around and make a first-time guest feel right at home, we’d love to meet you.

We’re looking for a Wine Lead to start in November 2026 and grow with us into the 2027 season.

About the role
The Wine Lead works alongside our Assistant Manager to oversee the floor and keep service running smoothly. You’ll support the tasting room team, model our service standards, and help bring new programs to life. This is a hands-on role with most of your week spent on the floor pouring, selling, and leading by example.

Starting in November gives you time to learn our wines, systems, and team during the quieter holiday season, so you’re ready to lead when we reopen in February.

Schedule

- Training begins in November, with hours through December including our holiday events and New Year’s Eve
- Evolve is closed to the public through January
- We reopen in early February, 5 days a week, with hours building into spring and summer
- 25 to 40 hours per week depending on season
- Weekend, holiday, and evening event availability required

What you’ll do

Support the floor

- Help the Assistant Manager oversee shifts, including opening and closing, section assignments, and first-line guest concerns
- Lead by example on our service standards for guided tastings and our food and wine experiences, Raise the Bar and Bubbles + Bites
- Act as point person on shift when the Assistant Manager is off, following established procedures and escalating as needed

Grow Wine Club and sales





- Meet personal and team sales and Club sign-up targets, and help the team turn great visits into memberships
- Support Club operations in Commerce7, including sign-ups, member questions, and pick-up days
- Track daily sales and Club numbers and share what you’re seeing with management

Support the team

- Help roll out new programs, menus, and seasonal pairing experiences using training materials provided by management
- Lead pre-shift briefings on new releases and product knowledge
- Help onboard and train recent team members during spring hiring
- Give real-time feedback on shift and flag performance concerns to the Assistant Manager

Keep the wine program running

- Assist with wine inventory counts when needed
- Count retail merchandise and flag reordering needs to the Assistant Manager
- Receive and replenish stock, and maintain retail displays and merchandising
- Help keep product knowledge current across the team

Bring events to life

- Serve as on-site lead for private events, workshops, and seasonal celebrations

What you bring

- 2+ years in a tasting room, restaurant, or hospitality setting, including time in a lead or supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- WSET Level 2 or equivalent (CAPS/ISG, CMS Introductory)
- Serving It Right certification
- Confidence talking about sparkling wine, from production method to food pairing
- Commerce7 or similar POS/CRM experience is an asset
- A track record of hitting sales or membership targets
- Ability to stand and walk for 6 to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs
- 19+ and eligible to work in Canada
- References Required.

Compensation
Starting at $22 per hour, plus access to tip pool.
