Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented AML Investigator to review financial activity, identify potential money laundering or other suspicious behavior, and document findings in accordance with applicable regulations and internal policies. The role works with compliance, operations, and other relevant teams to support effective risk management and accurate case resolution.

Responsibilities

- Review transaction alerts, account activity, and supporting records to assess potential suspicious activity.
- Conduct investigations by gathering and analyzing relevant financial and customer information.
- Document investigative steps, evidence, conclusions, and recommendations clearly and accurately.
- Escalate cases that may require further review or regulatory reporting, following established procedures.
- Support auditing activities by maintaining complete, organized case files and responding to information requests.
- Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews, helping identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement.




- Apply knowledge of accounting principles and financial records when evaluating transaction patterns.
- Protect confidential information and follow applicable AML requirements, internal controls, and recordkeeping standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve investigation quality and consistency.

Experience

- Experience in AML investigations, financial crime compliance, fraud analysis, banking operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring, investigative documentation, and relevant AML regulations is an asset.
- Knowledge of auditing, internal audits, or accounting is preferred; candidates with transferable analytical experience are encouraged to apply.
- Solid research, critical-thinking, written communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Pay: $60,000.00-$111,000.00 per year
