About Us
No Vacancy is a cocktail bar and restaurant on Ossington, part of the Ghost Entertainment hospitality group. We’re known for good drinks, warm service and a room that gets busy. We’re looking for a warm, organized Host / Support team member to own the door and keep the room flowing every night.

The Role
You’re the first person guests meet and the last person they see. You’ll greet guests, manage reservations, waitlists and seating, and keep communication clear between the door, the floor and the bar. When the door is under control, you’ll support the team by running food and drinks, resetting tables and jumping in where needed. You’ll report to the Service Captain and the Manager on Duty.

What You’ll Do

- Greet every guest with good energy and a warm personality, and set a positive tone from the moment they walk in
- Manage reservations, walk-ins and the waitlist, quote accurate wait times and keep guests updated
- Build and manage the seating chart, balance sections with servers and bartenders, and keep the room flowing
- Coordinate large parties, special requests and delays with management and staff
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate to the Manager on Duty when needed
- Check ID and monitor entry for age restrictions and capacity limits
- Keep the host stand,



entrance and front-of-house areas clean and organized
- Run food and drinks, bus and reset tables, and support servers during peak periods
- Help with opening and closing duties, including menus, the host stand and front-of-house setup
- Follow all health, safety and Smart Serve standards, and report incidents or safety concerns right away
- Jump in wherever the team needs you

What We’re Looking For

- Previous host, hospitality or customer service experience is preferred, but we’ll train the right person
- Experience in a bar, restaurant or high-volume workplace is an asset
- Smart Serve certified, or willing to get certified before your first shift
- Familiar with reservation and waitlist systems (e.g., OpenTable) or POS systems is a plus
- Able to work evenings, weekends and late nights
- Comfortable on your feet for long shifts
- Friendly, confident and professional, with strong communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented and calm under pressure
- A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
