J*STEM TUTOREX is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Chemistry Tutor* to support high school students. We are ideally looking for a bilingual tutor who can teach in both English and French.

The ideal candidate has a strong Chemistry background, tutoring or teaching experience, and familiarity with the Ontario curriculum.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-to-one tutoring in high school Chemistry.
- Explain concepts clearly and help students develop conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
- Identify and address gaps in foundational knowledge.
- Support students with course material, assignments, test/exam preparation, and study strategies.
- Adapt instruction to individual learning needs.
- Provide feedback on student progress when required.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience tutoring or teaching high school Chemistry.
- Familiarity with the Ontario high school Chemistry curriculum is strongly preferred.




- Ability to teach in both English and French is strongly preferred.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with online teaching and learning tools.
- Reliable, organized, and committed to student success.
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs is an asset.

Expected hours: 2.0 – 10.0 per week
