Overview

As a Traffic Control Person, you help guide vehicles and pedestrians safely through active work areas. You communicate clearly with workers and road users, stay alert to changing conditions, and support an organized worksite. Your impact: clear, timely directions help crews work safely while keeping traffic moving.

Duties

- Direct vehicles and pedestrians around work zones using clear signals and instructions.
- Coordinate with construction crews to manage traffic flow as work progresses.
- Watch for changing site conditions and promptly communicate hazards or concerns to the team.
- Help maintain orderly access around paving and heavy equipment activity.

Requirements

Required: Clear communication, attentiveness, and sound judgment are essential for directing traffic,



recognizing changing conditions, and sharing safety concerns with the crew. Preferred: Construction experience is an advantage, particularly familiarity with paving work or heavy equipment operation; these skills can help you anticipate worksite activity and coordinate effectively with colleagues. A calm, cooperative approach supports clear directions and dependable teamwork in a busy setting.

Pay: $17.75-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 44.0 per week

- Traffic Control Person Card (preferred)
