Dispatcher – Asset-Based Truckload Carrier

SIGNIFICANT: We are seeking experienced dispatchers only. A minimum of 3 years of truckload dispatch experience is required. Experience with an asset-based carrier is strongly preferred.

Established in 2005, All Routes Logistics is a family-owned, asset-based full truckload carrier headquartered in Milton, Ontario.
We operate our own fleet of trucks, trailers and professional drivers, providing reliable transportation solutions across local, highway, Quebec and cross-border U.S. markets. Our operations include dry van, refrigerated and heated transportation, serving some of Canada's largest and most recognized shippers.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for experienced, motivated dispatchers who understand the demands of trucking, take ownership of their responsibilities and want to build a long-term career with an established transportation company.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and dispatch company-owned trucks and drivers to maximize fleet utilization and productivity.
- Manage daily trailer assignments, drop-and-hook operations, live loads and yard movements.
- Coordinate refrigerated and heated shipments, ensuring all temperature requirements are met.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers through phone, Samsara and other communication platforms.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates to customers through transportation portals, including BluJay and E2Open.
- Quickly resolve operational challenges, including breakdowns, service delays, appointment changes and last-minute load requirements.
- Maintain accurate dispatch information, load details and driver records within our TMS (Fleet Manager) and Excel.
- Work closely with customer service, fellow dispatchers and yard personnel to ensure efficient daily operations and on-time service.
- Take full ownership of your assigned dispatch board, from initial planning through successful delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of truckload dispatch experience.
- Previous experience working for an asset-based trucking company is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, driver scheduling and hours management.
- Experience coordinating city, highway and/or cross-border transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing competing priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills when dealing with drivers, customers and internal teams.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), ELD and telematics platforms. Samsara experience is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Highly organized, dependable and accountable, with the ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
