We require 1 candidate to fill a General Laborer role. Wage will be relative to certificates, tickets and experience.

As this is a Seasonal position, we anticipate work up to December 20th, and a successful Candidate will be called to return to work in early 2027.

This position assists with construction and maintenance projects within the east division of the district. The successful candidate will use a variety of tools and may be asked to operate equipment as trained. Candidates require the ability to lift 50 lbs, must be able to work in adverse conditions, may at times be asked to work independently and should have good decision-making abilities.

Candidates may be asked to attend emergency repairs and may be asked to work overtime hours.

You will be working on construction projects that include pipeline construction, concrete construction and road and canal repairs

Duties may include:

· Experience with the repair and maintenance of water management structures.

· Valid Class 5 Operators license

· Complete all required safety certifications

· Basic emergency response training including ICS 100 is an asset but can be trained





· Work under a variety of extreme weather conditions (out in the field)

· Ability to work individually or in a team setting

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Basic computer skills – able to complete online maintenance and safety reports and payroll application software.

· Knowledge and skills relating to irrigation construction as well as experience with operating canals & buried pipeline systems would be an asset.
