Role Summary

The Yard & Shop Assistant is an entry-level position responsible for supporting day-to-day yard, shop, and logistics operations. This role involves hands-on yard and warehouse work, shipping and receiving, inventory tracking, basic computer-based documentation, and assisting with equipment handling and pump servicing. The position also supports transportation activities, including coordinating and completing pick-ups and deliveries. This role is ideal for someone reliable, safety-focused, and eager to develop skills in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist with shipping and receiving of equipment, pumps, and parts

· Complete and close receiving tickets accurately using computer-based systems

· Fill out FLHAs (Field Level Hazard Assessments) electronically and ensure safety compliance

· Coordinate and perform pick-ups and deliveries as required

· Coordinate truck pick-ups and outbound shipments with carriers and internal teams

· Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

· Package pumps and equipment for transport, including securing, labeling, and protecting loads

· Track, update, and maintain inventory records using computer systems

· Support technicians with basic pump repair, cleaning, and maintenance tasks (training provided)

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, shop, and warehouse area

· Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage, accuracy, and completeness

· Follow all safety procedures, documentation requirements, and company policies

· Perform general yard, shop, and warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

· Previous experience in a yard, shop, warehouse, logistics,



or industrial environment is an asset

· Experience with shipping/receiving, loading and unloading, or inventory tracking is preferred

· Exposure to mechanical, equipment, or hands-on work is considered an asset

· Basic computer skills required, including the ability to:

· Enter data accurately

· Complete digital forms (FLHAs, receiving tickets)

· Track inventory in computer-based systems

· Comfortable using email, tablets, or desktop computers

· Ability to perform physical work in indoor and outdoor environments

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in learning equipment repair

· Strong attention to detail for documentation and inventory accuracy

· Dependable, punctual, and able to work well in a team

· Basic communication skills

· Valid driver’s license for coordinating and performing pick-ups and deliveries in compliance with company safety and insurance policies.

· Must have experience hauling trailer.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
