MacGillivray Fuels is looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our service department as a Labourer / Apprentice. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience alongside skilled technicians, with a path toward becoming a qualified tradesperson.

No previous trade experience is required—bring a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in hands-on work.

The Opportunity

You will start by assisting our technicians and learning the equipment, tools, and safe work practices used in the heating industry. For the right candidate who demonstrates commitment, ability, and a good fit with our team, MacGillivray Fuels will fund the schooling and training required to work toward journeyperson qualification as an Oil Heat Systems Technician or Propane Gas Technician.

What You’ll Do

- Work alongside experienced technicians installing boilers, furnaces, and water heaters.
- Assist with oil tank and propane tank installations.
- Load, unload, and move tools, equipment, and materials.
- Help prepare job sites and keep work areas clean and organized.




- Follow safety procedures and take direction from technicians.
- Build practical skills and take on additional responsibilities as your training progresses.
