Position Overview

Augury Healthcare is currently recruiting compassionate and experienced Developmental Services Workers (DSWs) and Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for contract opportunities in Toronto, Ontario.

We are seeking dedicated support professionals who are passionate about helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity and overall quality of life.

These opportunities involve providing personalized assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, complex support needs or daily living requirements in community-based and other supportive care environments.

Applicants with either a recognized DSW qualification or PSW certification are encouraged to apply. Candidates are not required to hold both credentials.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide compassionate, person-centred support based on individualized care or support plans.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, hygiene and personal care.
- Support safe mobility, transfers and other physical assistance needs within training and established care plans.
- Encourage independence, social participation and daily living skill development.
- Assist individuals in participating in recreational, community and daily activities.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities,



behavioural challenges or complex care needs, as appropriate to the assignment.
- Follow individualized behavioural support strategies and established safety protocols.
- Monitor and report changes in physical health, emotional well-being or behaviour.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate relevant information to supervisors and healthcare team members.
- Foster a safe, respectful and supportive environment that promotes dignity, choice and independence.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Recognized Developmental Services Worker diploma, Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent relevant education and training.
- Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in personal care, developmental services or a comparable support role preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, complex needs or daily living challenges is an asset.
- Understanding of person-centred care, safe transfers and support planning.
- Robust communication, patience, empathy and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and accurate documentation.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative care team.

Compensation and Benefits

- Competitive hourly compensation of $20.00–$23.00.
