2662939 Ontario Inc/Denys Medicine Professional Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive respiratory services to a diverse population of clients in the Windsor-Essex County & Municipality of Chatham-Kent region. There are two office locations--Tecumseh and Lasalle. Your colleagues will include a physician who specializes in respiratory medicine, several respiratory therapists, and access to CRE's, a nurse, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services. 2662939 Ontario has two licences from the Integrated Community Health Services Center (ICHSC) which permits us to perform comprehensive respiratory testing, our clinic also performs FeNO testing and allergy skin testing.

Core Responsibilities:

The primary focus of the nurse practitioner will be to conduct consultations and follow-up assessments on clients with various respiratory disorders such as asthma and COPD and also upper airways disorders such as allergic rhinitis and chronic rhinosinusitis. The Physician Assistant will:

- Perform assessments, diagnosis and treatment, health education/counselling and other clinical activities according to the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.




- Work independently but in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including the respiratory medicine practitioner, the healthcare team and using the electronic medical health record system (Accuro) for documentation and care coordination.
- Responsible for appropriate chart documentation, consultation reports, follow-up reports, ordering appropriate investigations, or other therapy as required.
- Provide patient education on Health Maintenance, disease prevention, and medication adherence.
- Assist in interpretation of pulmonary function testing, allergy skin testing, lab investigations and imaging investigations.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

- A minimum of 1-2 years experience working as a Physician Assistant is preferred.
- Some experience in dealing with respiratory health and/or allergic-related disorders would be an asset.
- Attention to client-centered care and establishing therapeutic relationships required.
- Proficiency with electronic health record system (Accuro) is advantageous.
- Ability to work in an interprofessional team environment required.
- Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills combined with valuable analytical problem-solving, organizational, and administrative skills.

Educational and Training Requirements:

- Member in good standing in with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA).

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
