Lead civil infrastructure estimating at Aecon, using Hard Dollar and detailed cost analysis to shape competitive bids for major projects.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the Estimating Lead delivers organized estimates, budgets, and schedules. The role supports large-scale and design-build projects across Aecon’s civil infrastructure work. You will coordinate stakeholders, procurement, risk, and bid documentation throughout the tender process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed cost estimates using the Hard Dollar platform
- Complete quantity take-offs and define project scope
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier submissions for competitive pricing
- Coordinate bonding, insurance, risk, and bid documentation
- Present estimate strategies and defend calculated cost targets

Requirements:

- 10+ years of civil project estimating experience
- Experience with large-scale and design-build projects
- Knowledge of civil construction contract types and terms
- Experience investigating tenders and documenting site conditions
- Valid driver’s license and required background check
