Strive Living Society is seeking Home Share Providers in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon and Penticton BC, who can offer a welcoming home to an individual with a developmental disability.
About the Home Share Arrangement
Home Sharing involves providing a secure, inclusive, and supportive home environment while encouraging independence and personal growth.
Support may include but is not limited to:
- Assistance with meal planning and grocery shopping.
- Support with daily living activities and developing new life skills.
- Encouragement to maintain independence and participate in everyday activities.
- Providing a welcoming environment for the individual
Home Requirements
The Home Share Provider must have a private bedroom or separate suite available in their own home.
Applicants may own, lease, or rent their home and must live in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, or Penticton BC.
Additional qualifications required or to be obtained:
- Emergency First Aid certification.
- CPR Level A certification.
- A clear criminal record check.
- A valid BC driver's license and an ICBC driver's abstract.
Compensation
The Home Share contract ranges from $1,500 to $5,000 per month.
