Pharmacy Assistant, Community Pharmacy

Full-time, permanent, in person. Rate: $22 to $24 per hour based on experience, plus health benefits.

Trio Pharmacy in Milton is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to be the first face at our front counter, the first voice on our phones, and the person who keeps our prescription billing clean. We are a modern, patient-focused community pharmacy with a small team, steady walk-in traffic and consistent daytime hours with no evenings or Sundays.

What you will do

- Help patients and caregivers. You are the first voice patients, prescribers’ offices and insurers hear: refill requests, status checks, transfers and billing questions, handled with patience and accuracy.
- Process walk-in prescriptions. Greet patients at the counter, collect what the pharmacist needs, enter the prescription in Kroll and keep wait times short.
- Bill medications and therapies to drug plans. Submit claims to ODB and private plans, clear rejections the same day and keep the records current for the pharmacist.
- Work with doctors’ offices. Send and receive prescriptions, renewals and clarifications, and work with medical office staff so patients are pointed in the right direction.
- Keep the dispensary moving:



deliveries and pickups, inventory and ordering, compliance packaging.

What you need

- At least one year in a community pharmacy. Required.
- Hands-on experience billing methadone or buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone).
- Kroll experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable running a busy phone line and a busy counter at the same time.
- Accurate with data entry and third-party billing. Reliable, organized and easy to work with.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Schedule
About 40 hours a week with the opportunity for more, scheduled within our hours of Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Saturdays rotate and are adaptable.
