About us

Design Flooring Centre is an established flooring contractor with branches in Medicine Hat and Calgary, supplying and installing commercial and residential flooring across southern Alberta. We’re growing, and we’re building the team that will take the company to the next level. We’re in no rush to fill this seat. We’d rather wait for the right person than hire the first one.

The role

Some companies have their estimators bid the work and hand it off once it’s awarded. We don’t. Our estimators own the project from cradle to grave. You’ll take each job from drawings and specs to a competitive, accurate bid. Once it’s awarded, you’ll order the materials, issue the work orders to production and stay with the project until the warranty is done. Our team schedules the installation; everything else is yours. You’ll report to our President. The estimator who knows how a floor actually goes down is the one whose numbers hold up, and we want that person.

Location: Calgary: home-based, with site visits as projects require. Medicine Hat: based in our Medicine Hat office.

Reports to: President

Who we’re looking for

You’re already estimating, and you’re looking for your next move. You want somewhere your judgement counts, you’d like to see your jobs through rather than hand them off, and you want a team that’s building something rather than another seat in a big company. If you’ve installed floors yourself, even better. If that sounds like you, we’d like to talk.
