We are seeking a Journeyman/Red Seal Heavy Duty Mobile Service Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment such as trucks, loaders, excavators, and other machinery. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented skilled with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty equipment.
-Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
-Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
-Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
-Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service performed.
-Work independently or as part of a team to complete repairs efficiently.
-Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
-Provide excellent service and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (Red Seal preferred, if applicable).
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on heavy-duty equipment.
-Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with computerized diagnostic tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
-Valid drivers license (Class 5 with air preferred).
-Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, H2S Alive, WHMIS) are an asset.
