***CUSTOM METAL FABRICATING KNOWLEDGE ENVIRONMENT HANDS ON KNOWLEDGE***

Coordinates access to the facilities after hours; make arrangements for work done outside of

regular business hours and ensures that work is carried out safely and in accordance with

Company policies and applicable government legislation

¯ Continuously anticipate tools/equipment needed to successfully complete all projects moving

through metal fabrication

¯ Be responsible for the maintenance and care of all Company-owned department machines and

troubleshoot equipment as necessary;

¯ In coordination with Operations Management, ensure that all work is carried out in accordance

with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) as well as with the company's Health and

Safety Policies

¯ Promptly report incidents, accidents and/or safety concerns to the JHSC and Plant manager.

¯ Ensures department staff follow the company's time and attendance procedures

¯ Ensure department timecards and time sheets are properly managed and completed in a

timely manner.

¯ Be hands-on with fabrication as needed; ensure all fabrication is done to a high -quality

standard and in good timing;

¯ Maintain a safe work workplace by performing work in accordance with the Ontario Health &

Safety Act as well as with the Company's Health & Safety Policy;

¯ Ensure all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is worn when required;

¯ Report any workplace hazards to management.

¯ Hands on working with the manufacturing team

¯ Oversees daily work of employees, aids the shop foreman with managing employee schedule

¯ Provides employee training where applicable





¯ Warns, disciplines employees not working to company standards.

¯ Reviews work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards and delivered within budget

¯ Enforces all health and safety policies in the shop, including ensuring that shop area is clean &

organized.

¯ Possesses solid analytical and problem-solving abilities to assists engineers and project

managers to addresses and resolves design & customer issues.

¯ Maintains tooling and consumables to the necessary quantities to support workload

¯ Possesses detailed knowledge of manufacturing.

¯ Has basic computer skills.

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
