We are seeking an experienced and qualified Code 1 Electrical Contractor to support residential electrical upgrades and renovation projects in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The ideal candidate must be authorized to obtain electrical permits, perform or supervise residential electrical work, and complete the required inspection and certification process. Experience with residential service upgrades, electrical panel replacements, and troubleshooting is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and manage electrical permits for residential projects.
- Perform and/or supervise residential electrical upgrades and installations.
- Complete electrical service upgrades, panel replacements, wiring, and related work.
- Ensure all work complies with the applicable Canadian Electrical Code and provincial regulations.
- Complete required inspections, certifications, and project documentation.
- Exercise authorized self-inspection privileges where applicable.
- Coordinate with homeowners, contractors, utility providers, and inspectors as required.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Required Qualifications
- Active Code 1 electrical contractor designation in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Valid authorization to obtain electrical permits for the work being performed.
- Authorization to self-inspect and certify eligible work, where applicable
- Red Seal endorsement in the electrical trade or other qualifications required for the contractor's authorized scope of work.
