About Village Physiotherapy

Village Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre is a growing multidisciplinary healthcare clinic in Mississauga. Our goal is to provide convenient, patient-centred rehabilitation and wellness services in a collaborative clinical environment.

We are currently seeking a professional and motivated Registered Chiropodist to join our multidisciplinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a chiropodist looking to establish or expand their patient caseload while working alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive foot and lower-limb assessments
- Diagnose and manage conditions within the chiropodist's scope of practice
- Develop individualized treatment and management plans
- Provide routine and advanced foot-care services within scope of practice
- Assess and manage common foot, nail and skin conditions
- Provide diabetic and high-risk foot care where appropriate
- Assess biomechanical and gait-related concerns
- Provide patient education regarding foot health and prevention
- Perform custom orthotic assessments and fittings where appropriate
- Recommend appropriate footwear, braces or other therapeutic products when clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare practitioners when appropriate
- Make appropriate internal and external referrals
- Maintain all professional, infection-control and patient-confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

Required:

- Registered and in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
- Eligible to practise independently in Ontario
- Valid professional liability insurance
- Strong clinical assessment and patient-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and patient-centred approach
- Strong documentation and organizational skills

New graduates who are registered and eligible to practise in Ontario are welcome to apply.

Compensation

Competitive percentage-based or mutually agreed compensation structure based on experience and arrangement.

Specific compensation and scheduling arrangements will be discussed with successful candidates.

Schedule

We are open to part-time or full-time candidates.

Candidates may begin with a limited number of clinic days and increase their schedule as their patient caseload develops.

Evening and/or Saturday availability would be considered an asset.
