Position Information:

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking professional, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our hospital security team at Woodstock Hospital in Woodstock, Ontario. As a GardaWorld Security Guard assigned to Woodstock Hospital, you are an important part of the overall hospital environment.

The position is employed and managed by GardaWorld, an independent service provider. Applicants will be recruited and hired directly by GardaWorld and will not be employees of Woodstock Hospital.

Essential Job Functions:

- Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming setting for patients, visitors, hospital staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the hospital and surrounding property.
- Utilize CCTV to monitor entrances, exits, access points, and restricted areas.
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance.
- Assist with conflict resolution and de-escalation involving disruptive or challenging behaviour.
- Identify potential security risks and take appropriate action in accordance with training and established protocols.
- Prepare accurate, timely, and detailed incident reports and other required documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of patients and visitors.
- Follow applicable legislation, Woodstock Hospital and GardaWorld policies.

Qualifications:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, as required for the position.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Protection,



Security and Investigation, Law and Security, Criminal Justice, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Relevant education, training, volunteer experience, and transferable skills are valued.
- Robust verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent observation, situational awareness, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in stressful or high-pressure situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to de-escalate conflict.
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to workdays, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Previous security, healthcare, customer service, or public safety experience is considered an asset.
