GG Central has been Waterloo's home for competitive and casual gaming since opening in January 2026. We are equipped with high-end gaming PCs, PS5s and a Nintendo Switch 2—all running on fast, low-ping internet, with our additional snack bar to keep players fuelled. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Gaming Cafe Associate to join the team.

Along the way, you’ll learn how a gaming business operates behind the scenes, including hardware and setups, day-to-day operations, and building a tight-knit community.

Responsibilities

- Greet and check-in customers, manage gaming sessions, and answer inquiries via our reception desk or phone.
- Accurately process sales through our POS system and handling cash.
- Clean and sanitize stations (including controllers, peripherals, desks, and floors).
- Set-up and reset PCs, PS5s and the Nintendo Switch 2 stations.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on PCs, consoles (PS5, Nintendo Switch 2), game launchers, peripherals, and connection issues.
- Keep the snack bar stocked, organized, and ready for purchase.

What We’re Looking For

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Explicit,



friendly communication in English.
- Prior experience with ggLeap is an asset.
- Reliable and punctual with strong time management skills.
- Customer service experience (retail, hospitality, or food service).
- Solid PC knowledge (Windows OS, software installation/updates, basic hardware and network troubleshooting).
- Up-to-date on popular titles (e.g., Valorant, League of Legends, Fortnite, CS2, etc.).
- Confident and accurate cash handling and POS/ERP systems.

Position Details & Compensation

- Existing Vacancy: 2 Open Position
- Job Type: Part-Time (approx. 25 hours/week)
- Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
- Availability: Evenings and weekends required
- Flexible Scheduling: We welcome applications from local post-secondary students and are happy to build work schedules around class timetables.

Pay: $37,200.00-$40,100.00 per year
