Neighbourhood Painters is looking to partner with experienced, reliable two-person painting subcontractor crews for ongoing residential and light commercial projects throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.
We're looking for professional crews who take pride in their workmanship, communicate well, and can complete projects independently while maintaining our high standards.
Our goal is to build long-term relationships with dependable subcontractors who want regular project opportunities without having to find their own customers.

Requirements
- Established painting subcontractor crew (ideally two painters)
- Minimum 3 years of professional residential painting experience preferred
- Own reliable vehicle, skilled tools, and equipment
- No company-branded vehicles on assigned projects
- Valid GST registration, where required
- Active WCB-Alberta coverage or verified applicable coverage arrangement
- Commercial general liability insurance
- Strong preparation, painting, and finishing skills
- Clean, professional appearance and excellent communication
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines
- Willingness to complete background checks when required for specific projects
All new subcontractor crews begin with vacant-property trial projects. Crews that consistently demonstrate excellent workmanship, reliability, cleanliness, and professionalism may qualify for occupied residential projects.
Compensation
Independent subcontractor opportunity – fixed-price projects, not hourly employment.
Estimated earning potential is equivalent to $40–$50+ per painter-hour, depending on project size, crew efficiency, and experience.
Actual compensation is negotiated and agreed upon per project before work begins. Earnings are not guaranteed and depend on the agreed project price, time required, and subcontractor expenses.
