What you'll be doing:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
- Program machines using G-code and applicable CNC control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications.
- Produce precision components while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Use calipers, micrometers and other precision measuring tools to inspect finished parts.
- Troubleshoot machines, perform routine maintenance and make necessary adjustments.
- Work with the production team to maintain quality and improve machining processes.
- Assist with material handling and forklift operation as required.
What we're looking for:
- Previous CNC machining experience, including machine setup and operation.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and controls such as Haas, Fanuc or similar.
- Strong blueprint-reading and measuring skills.
- Experience with milling and/or turning.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks is an asset.
- Experience squaring blocks is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and commitment to safety.
