Job Overview

The Regional Hotel Facility Manager oversees maintenance operations, property standards, and asset management across D.P. Murphy Hotels’ properties in Prince Edward Island. This role ensures that each property operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with brand standards and company sustainability goals.

The manager works closely with General Managers, corporate leadership, and external vendors to maintain optimal building performance and guest satisfaction

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise maintenance staff, assign work, and support consistent, effective execution.
- Prepare checklists, productivity tools and standard operating procedures for the maintenance departments.
- Coordinate capital improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades in collaboration with the General Managers and ownership.
- Run regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, pools, elevators and the building envelope.
- Keep fire and life safety systems inspected and up to code, and coordinate inspections by the authorities.
- Support franchisor brand standards and quality inspections.
- Make sure all work meets PEI occupational health and safety requirements.

Qualifications & Experience





- 5+ years of building or facilities maintenance experience, including supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety systems.
- Knowledge of Prince Edward Island building, fire, and occupational health and safety requirements, or the ability to gain that knowledge promptly.
- A Red Seal or other trade certification and hotel experience are assets.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, vendor contracts, and capital or renovation projects.
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize across several properties at once.

Working Conditions & Travel

- Regular travel between Prince Edward Island properties.
- Availability for on-call and emergency response outside regular hours, including during storms and peak periods, on a rotation or as required.
- Hands-on work in plant rooms, roofs, and outdoor areas in all weather conditions, using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
