Overview

The School Bus Driver provides safe, dependable transportation for students between designated stops and school. This role calls for attentive driving, courteous interactions, and clear communication with students, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

- Operate the school bus carefully along assigned routes, following established schedules and procedures.
- Welcome students, support orderly boarding and exiting, and communicate expectations with patience and respect.
- Monitor student behavior, respond calmly to concerns, and share relevant updates with school staff.
- Check the bus for visible issues, report maintenance concerns, and keep route and incident records clear and accurate.

Skills

Required: Safe commercial driving capability, transparent communication, sound judgment,



and the ability to interact patiently and respectfully with children are essential to transporting students and supporting an orderly ride. Preferred: Experience working with children, customer service, teaching, senior care, mechanical knowledge, writing skills, or multilingual and bilingual communication are helpful; Spanish and English language skills can support communication with students and families. Pay: $25.04 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
