Counter Staff serve customers, process customer orders, and help keep counter and kitchen areas clean and organized. The role combines friendly customer service with accurate transactions and efficient food handling in a fast-paced food service setting.

Candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends and holidays.

Duties

As a Front Counter Sales Associate, you will play a key role as the first face of our bakery. Organization, attention to detail, a love for baked goods, and the ability to work efficiently are key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Greet and assist customers with a friendly and positive attitude

· Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently

· Provide product information and recommendations to customers

· Handle cash and card transactions using our point-of-sale system

· Maintain a clean and organized front counter area

· Restock and replenish bakery products as needed

· Answer customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

· Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure product availability and freshness

· Stay informed about our bakery offerings, promotions and seasonal items

· Uphold the bakery’s standards for excellent customer service

Qualifications:





· Previous experience in a customer service or retail role is preferred

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work in a quick-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

· Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions

· Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings

· Positive and team oriented attitude

· Enthusiasm for bakery products and a willingness to learn about our offerings

Skills

Required: Explicit customer service, food preparation and handling, safe sanitation practices, cashiering, cash handling, basic math, and time management support dependable counter operations. Preferred: Food service, restaurant, food industry, or kitchen experience; familiarity with POS or Micros POS; serving experience; and confidence with upselling and everyday math.

Pay: $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 17.0 – 40.0 per week
