Overview

As an Owner-Operator – Long-Haul Trucking (Canada), you transport freight over long distances, coordinating protected, reliable deliveries while managing your truck and day-to-day operations. The role combines commercial driving, equipment care, and clear communication with customers and colleagues.

Duties

- Plan routes and schedules, inspect your truck, and transport freight safely between destinations.
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and shipment updates with customers, dispatchers, and other partners.
- Maintain accurate trip and delivery records, and report delays or equipment concerns promptly.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and basic upkeep, arranging repairs when needed.

Skills

Required:



Commercial driving capability, sound route planning, safe vehicle operation, accurate recordkeeping, and practical awareness of truck condition support dependable long-haul work. Clear communication helps coordinate freight movements and resolve delivery issues. Preferred: Forklift skills, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair knowledge can support loading coordination, equipment handling, and routine maintenance. Related freight or long-haul experience is an advantage.

Pay: Up to $35.29 per hour
