Shift Schedule

This position typically follows a rotating day and afternoon shift schedule, designed to support work-life balance. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Flexibility is essential: Candidates must be available to work overtime and night shifts when operationally required.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond promptly to daily equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain production equipment and address building-related maintenance issues.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify potential damage, wear, or maintenance requirements, and report issues promptly.




- Perform preventive maintenance and servicing on conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, subfloor production lines, foam lines, and CNC routers.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and linear, rotational, and reciprocating motion with minimal supervision.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, blueprints, and parts diagrams to diagnose issues and identify replacement components.
- Perform equipment installation, fabrication, welding, repairs, and basic machining as required.
- Follow all company policies and applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to employee training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, production efficiency, and overall line performance.
- Maintain high production-line efficiency, with quarterly bonus eligibility directly tied to line efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Mandatory: Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) trade licence — 433A.
- Minimum of 8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills, including equipment installation, fabrication, welding, and basic machining.
- Excellent understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment drawings.
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems, including motors,



sensors, and drives, is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach to maintenance.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and moving materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, occasional weekends, and night shifts when required.
