We are looking to hire an energetic and responsible candidate as Night Auditor / Guest Service Agent (Full Time, weekends and holidays required) to join our team at Homewood Suites by Hilton Toronto/Oakville. The successful candidate is expected to have customer service experience, hotel (and Hilton) experience an asset. They must be willing to pitch in when needed, exemplify hospitality and contribute to the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service while following all hotel policies and procedures. The Night Auditor /Guest Service Agent will contribute to a positive, enthusiastic and inclusive environment.

Major Responsibilities:

· Maintain a strong presence at the Front Desk and throughout the hotel at all times

· Complete reports & specific duties assigned by the Front Office Manager in a timely and accurate manner

· Ensure all guests feel continually welcomed by maintaining the hotel’s exceptional level of customer service at all times

· Make reservations, check guests in and out of the hotel, answer all telephone calls in a timely and professional manner

- Completing necessary paperwork for front desk operations (Converge, Third Party authorization forms, credit card authorizations, cash reports, down-time reports, etc.)

· Handle a cash float, ensuring it balances correctly at the end of shift

· Work cohesively with all departments to ensure all guests have the best experience while staying at the hotel

· Provide excellent customer service as per hotel standards by responding promptly to all guest requests in person, by phone, email, and/or Kipsu

· Maintain a tidy and hazard-free work space (Front Desk) and Back Office

· Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with team members and Department Heads

· Act and communicate with professionalism while dealing with guests and coworkers

- Ensure thorough knowledge of all internal and Homewood Suites programs and promotions, Honors,



selling strategies and special rates

In addition, as a Night Auditor your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Balancing daily hotel receipts

- Posting revenues and preparing revenue reports

- Auditing all postings from all shifts, including room charges, meeting charges, misc. charges ensuring accounts are balanced and closed if required

- Processing guest accounts

- Completing reports & specific duties assigned by the Front Office Manager in a timely and accurate manner

- Ensure guest and property security policies are being followed

- Properly use and care for all equipment and tools used to perform duties

- Follow all job safety policies and report any accidents and/or hazards

· All other duties as assigned by the FOM and/or GM

Requirements:

· Minimum of 1- 2 years’ experience in Hotel Front Desk role preferred

· Knowledge of PEP an asset

· Friday and Saturday night audit shifts required (2 per week)

· 3 other shifts other days of the week, AM or PM

· Ability to meet the physical and mental requirements of the position

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Work within a team setting

· Complete all assigned tasks with little to no supervision

· Organization and time management skills

· Problem solving skills

· Lift up to 50 lbs
