Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Setup/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience setting up and operating CNC lathes, reading technical blueprints, using precision measuring instruments, and performing quality inspections. Familiarity with Fanuc controls is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines according to production requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, and height gauges.
- Bore jaws when required as part of machine setup.
- Measure tools, perform dry runs, and verify machine setup before production.
- Perform first-off inspections and ensure parts meet required specifications.
- Maintain process control sheets and record critical dimensions accurately.
- Monitor production quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy.
- Operate machines using Fanuc controls.




- Edit CNC programs when necessary; this would be considered an asset.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous experience in CNC lathe setup and operation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with Fanuc CNC controls is required.
- Knowledge of tool measurement, dry runs, and first-off inspections.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CNC programming and editing experience is an asset.

Working Hours

- Monday to Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Lunch Break: 30 minutes
- -Additional Breaks: Two 15-minute breaks
- Overtime:Available, to be discussed.

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
