Tactical Security Guard

Overview

The Tactical Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and orderly environment through proactive surveillance, visible security presence, and timely response to security concerns. This role combines tactical security awareness, loss prevention, and professional communication to help safeguard people, property, and assets while ensuring compliance with established security protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

- Conduct regular foot patrols and monitor assigned areas through CCTV and surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity, security breaches, and potential threats.
- Maintain a strong, visible security presence to deter unauthorized activities, theft, and other security-related incidents.
- Apply loss prevention techniques and follow established protocols when identifying, assessing, and responding to security risks.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns while prioritizing the safety of individuals and property.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely reports documenting observations, incidents, patrols, and actions taken.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, visitors, staff, and colleagues while escalating concerns to supervisors when necessary.
- Remain alert, composed, and professional in challenging or high-pressure situations.
- Follow all applicable legislation, site-specific procedures,



company policies, and security regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

- Valid and active Security Guard Licence in the applicable province of employment.
- Robust observational skills, situational awareness, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to evolving situations.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Ability to remain alert, composed, and professional in high-pressure environments.

Preferred Assets:

- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle for commuting to assigned sites and supporting operational requirements.
- Previous experience in tactical security, loss prevention, surveillance, or law enforcement-related environments.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, security reporting software, and patrol monitoring technologies.

Pay: $16.50-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
