Job Description

Our food manufacturing client is looking for a Health & Safety (H&S;) Coordinator to support and maintain a safe working environment across all plant locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safety orientations, employee training, workplace inspections, incident investigations, safety compliance, and reporting.

The H&S; Coordinator will work closely with employees, supervisors, subcontractors, and management to ensure that Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed and that potential workplace hazards are identified and addressed.

Shifts: Must be flexible to work Morning, Afternoon, and Night shifts Weekly Schedule: typically 5 days per week, including weekends Location: North York (Jane and Steeles, Jane and Wilson Ave)

Key Responsibilities

 Conduct safety orientations and Health & Safety training for employees.

 Perform regular job site and workplace safety inspections.

 Identify workplace hazards and conduct hazard analysis.

 Review and promote compliance with safe work procedures.





 Prepare and maintain written inspection reports, findings, and recommendations.

 Monitor adherence to the company's Health & Safety program by all employees and subcontractors.

 Research, plan, organize, and conduct Health & Safety training programs for supervisors and field employees.

 Provide training on topics including WHMIS, Health & Safety Awareness Orientation, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and other applicable Health & Safety requirements.

 Conduct workplace inspections, incident investigations, and occupational safety activities within other departments as required.

 Document Health & Safety reports and records using Microsoft Word and Excel.

 Assist in identifying safety concerns and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

 Perform additional Health & Safety assignments and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.

 Perform other duties as required on the job.

Qualifications

 Minimum 1 year of experience in a Health & Safety background.

 Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices and procedures.

 Ability to conduct workplace inspections and identify potential hazards.

 Strong communication and organizational skills.

 Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.

 Basic to valuable working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

 Valid Driver’s License is required

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
