Otter Wise Talent Solutions is recruiting Precast Concrete Finishers on behalf of our client, an established precast concrete manufacturer in Leduc.

If you have experience in concrete finishing, precast concrete, construction, concrete repair or similar hands-on concrete work, this is an opportunity to put those skills to work in a fully indoor production facility.

No working outside in the Alberta winter — this work is completed indoors in a warehouse/production environment.

Pay is $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on relevant concrete, precast and construction experience.

These positions are initially three-month temporary assignments with the possibility of extension based on operational requirements and performance.

What You'll Do

As a Precast Concrete Finisher, you will:

- Perform finishing work on precast concrete products, including troweling, patching, grinding and surface treatments
- Repair concrete surface defects including bug holes, chips, spalls and other imperfections
- Complete final finishing of precast panels after they are stripped from casting forms
- Prepare surfaces for architectural finishes when required
- Use concrete finishing, grinding and polishing tools
- Follow shop drawings and finishing instructions to meet project specifications
- Assist with form preparation and concrete placement when required
- Maintain consistent surface appearance and quality
- Identify quality issues and communicate them to supervisors or quality-control personnel
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Work with production crews to meet daily production targets
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Follow all company safety and production procedures

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years of experience in precast concrete, concrete construction, manufacturing or a related industry
- Hands-on experience with concrete finishing tools and techniques
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licence




- Reliable transportation to and from the Leduc worksite for every scheduled shift
- Experience with concrete patching, grinding, troweling, repair or finishing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to read basic drawings and work instructions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Your Safety Equipment

You only need to provide your own steel-toed safety boots.

All other required PPE and safety equipment will be provided.

Experience That Will Set You Apart

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

- Precast or prestressed concrete
- Concrete finishing
- Concrete repair and patching
- Architectural concrete finishes
- Grinding and polishing
- Concrete forming
- Construction
- Reading precast shop drawings, structural drawings, Revit models or AutoCAD/CADD drawings

Aerial Work Platform (AWP) certification is preferred but is not mandatory.

Standard First Aid and Fall Protection certifications are also considered assets.
