We're looking for a passionate and dependable Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our growing culinary team. Responsibilities

- Prepare fresh ingredients and complete daily prep to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Cook and plate menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Execute dishes with consistency while respecting the flavours and techniques that inspire our Brazilian-influenced menu.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and organization throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation (FIFO), and minimizing food waste.




- Communicate effectively with chefs and team members to ensure smooth service.
- Support opening, closing, and daily cleaning responsibilities.
- Be available to work closing shifts as part of the regular schedule. Our restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, and candidates must be comfortable working through closing duties as required.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-focused workplace culture.

Qualifications

- Must currently live in Calgary, Alberta.
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food preparation, knife skills, and cooking techniques.
- Must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be available for closing shifts and comfortable working until closing duties are completed. Please note that our restaurant closes at 10:00 PM.
- Must have and bring your own skilled kitchen knives.
- Must have a valid Food Safety/Food Handler Certificate.
- Must have a valid WHMIS certification.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail.
- A collaborative attitude and strong communication skills.
- Passion for hospitality, quality ingredients, and learning new culinary techniques.
- Interest in Brazilian cuisine or Latin-inspired cooking is an asset but not required.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 80.0 per week
