Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and safe workplace for our patients. A strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment is essential for success in this role.

Part-time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (2 of 3), Fridays required

The successful candidate will have a passion for building strong patient relationships and contributing to their ongoing oral health.

Responsibilities

- Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants and whitening
- Providing consistent patient experience during hygiene visit
- Conduct vital signs checks and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with the privacy regulations. .
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on maintaining optimal dental health.
- Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe working environment and prevent infection.




- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and streamline office operations.
- Take digital x-rays

Requirements:

- Proficiency Dentrix software systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and patient assessment processes.
- A commitment to providing exceptional patient care while adhering to best practices in dentistry.
- Experience in orthodontics is a plus.
- Currently registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
- Valid CPR Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
