Description and Requirements

Product Manager II

Location: Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Contract: 12 months
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $61–$72/hour
Contract Length: 12 months

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Product Manager II to join the digital product team of a leading technology and financial services organization. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape consumer-facing web experiences that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion for one of the company's high-visibility products.

Based in Toronto, you will work closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and other cross-functional leaders to improve web experiences, attract new users, and encourage customers to return to the platform.

This role is ideal for a Product Manager who combines strong product intuition, customer empathy, design awareness, and excellent execution skills. The team has already established much of the strategic foundation, allowing the successful candidate to ramp up quickly and focus heavily on execution and delivery.

What You'll Do

- Own and drive product initiatives focused on user acquisition, engagement, and conversion across consumer-facing web experiences.
- Identify opportunities to improve web pages and customer journeys to attract new users and encourage repeat engagement.
- Translate customer needs, behavioral insights, and business objectives into actionable product requirements and experiences.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Design to prioritize initiatives, define requirements, manage trade-offs, and deliver high-quality customer experiences.
- Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to ensure product experiences effectively communicate the value proposition and support acquisition strategies.
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Use data, customer insights, experimentation, and market knowledge to identify opportunities and measure product performance.
- Define and document product requirements, priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans.

- Help guide initiatives from concept through delivery while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and business outcomes.
- Communicate product vision, priorities, decisions, and progress effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Make informed decisions in ambiguous situations and keep initiatives moving toward completion.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in Product Management, designing and delivering software products or digital experiences.
- Demonstrated experience shipping end-to-end customer experiences.
- Strong customer empathy and the ability to think deeply about consumer behavior, needs, and product intuition.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering teams, including prioritization, trade-off discussions, and execution.
- Experience partnering closely with Design teams and a solid eye for design, usability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly communicate a product's value proposition and translate customer needs into compelling experiences.
- Strong execution skills with the ability to drive initiatives from concept through completion.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts and make effective decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills across multiple teams.
- Ability to turn customer insights and data into actionable product strategy and priorities.

Nice to Have

- Experience in user acquisition, growth, or consumer-facing digital products.
- Exposure to marketing technology or digital marketing.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and strategies for driving organic traffic.
- Familiarity with how Google-based marketing campaigns and acquisition channels work.
- Experience within financial services, fintech, tax, personal finance, or similar consumer-focused industries.

- Experience with tools such as Figma, Jira-equivalent product collaboration platforms, AI tools such as Claude, and product analytics/internal dashboards.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, customer-obsessed Product Manager who can balance product thinking with strong execution.

You'll be successful in this role if you:

- Naturally put yourself in the customer's shoes.
- Have strong product intuition and an eye for what makes a digital experience intuitive and compelling.
- Know how to partner effectively with Engineering and Design rather than working in a silo.
- Have excellent attention to detail and care deeply about the quality of the customer experience.
- Can take an established strategy and turn it into clear, executable product initiatives.
- Are comfortable working across Marketing, Design, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Can move quickly, make decisions, manage competing priorities, and get things across the finish line.

Strategy & Execution

This is an execution-focused Product Management opportunity, with approximately 25% strategy and 75% execution.

The broader strategic direction and much of the foundational work are already established. This allows the incoming Product Manager to ramp up quickly, understand the existing roadmap, and focus on turning strategy into measurable product improvements and delivering high-quality customer experiences.

Why This Opportunity?

- Work on high-visibility consumer digital experiences.
- Directly influence user acquisition and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with experienced leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing.
- Make meaningful improvements to how customers discover, evaluate, and engage with a major consumer platform.
- Join a team where much of the strategic groundwork is already established, enabling you to hit the ground running.
- Gain exposure to growth, acquisition, digital marketing, experimentation, and customer experience optimization.

If you're a Product Manager who combines customer empathy, strong product intuition, design awareness, and the ability to execute, we'd love to hear from you.
