Duties
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing orders and payments
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations for change and totals
- Assist with food preparation and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and upselling menu items when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier station and surrounding areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support serving staff by managing order accuracy and timely processing of transactions
- Ensure proper food safety practices are followed during all cashiering activities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and improve customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems,
especially Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Experience in cashiering, food handling, and serving roles is advantageous
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours to ensure smooth operations
