About the Chance

Clarity Recruitment is building a bench of specialists for its AI practice, which places the people who make AI work inside Canadian organizations. Across sixteen conversations with senior Canadian leaders in 2026, the same gap kept surfacing: plenty of promising prototypes, and very few that make it into production and stay there.

This is an ongoing need, not a single live vacancy. Our clients have a mandate and early wins, often built by a business user on their own desktop. What they lack is someone who can take that prototype and build it properly, for every case it has to handle, inside their real systems and security constraints.

When a matching engagement opens, you’ll sit close to the business, work directly with the people who use the tool, and ship AI solutions that survive contact with real operations. If you want your work used on Monday morning rather than shown in a demo, this is the bench for you.

Key Responsibilities

- Embed with client teams to understand the workflow before writing code
- Turn validated prototypes into production-grade AI applications, agents, and automations
- Integrate LLM-based solutions with business systems such as ERP, CRM, document stores, and email
- Build evaluation, testing, and monitoring so solutions stay accurate as inputs change
- Handle edge cases, exceptions, and failure modes that prototypes skip
- Apply security, access, and data privacy controls appropriate to the client’s risk profile
- Document and hand over so the client team can own and extend what you build




- Partner with Data Engineers and Functional AI Experts across the build

What You Bring

- Strong software engineering background in Python and/or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar)
- Experience with retrieval, tool use, agent frameworks, and prompt and evaluation design
- Proven track record shipping AI or automation into production, not only proofs of concept
- Comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders and translating their needs into builds
- Sound judgment on when AI is the right tool and when a simpler fix is

Nice to Have

- Experience in finance, accounting, or other regulated workflows
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or Copilot extensibility
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience
- Familiarity with MCP or similar integration patterns
