Lead Java and React development for Manulife’s hybrid Canadian Retirement Technology team, shaping secure cloud-native applications and mentoring engineering teams. This lead full stack software engineer provides technical leadership across the software development lifecycle. You will partner with product owners, architects, and engineering teams using Spring Boot, React, and Microsoft Azure. The work includes architecture decisions, delivery priorities, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead full stack application design, development, and delivery
- Architect Azure solutions using AKS, App Service, and Azure SQL
- Guide architecture reviews and technical implementation decisions
- Mentor developers through reviews and pair programming




- Drive CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, testing, and observability

Requirements:
- Eight or more years of software engineering experience
- Two or more years in technical leadership or mentorship
- Robust Java Spring Boot and React experience
- Experience operating cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure
