Position: Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist

Duration: 5 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite/Hybrid: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support a strategic digital health initiative focused on implementing digital communication channels for cancer screening correspondence.

This initiative supports the modernization of healthcare communications by providing eligible Ontarians with digital alternatives to traditional paper-based correspondence, aligning with broader digital health transformation objectives.

The successful consultant will be responsible for quality assurance activities related to monitoring, evaluation, reporting, data validation, ETL testing, and end-to-end system verification. The role requires extensive experience in SQL, Data Warehouse environments, data migration initiatives, and ETL testing.

Scope

Analyze business requirements, user stories, data models, and mapping specifications to develop test scenarios.

Identify, document, track, and support resolution of defects throughout the testing lifecycle.

Participate in project planning, estimation, quality reviews, and release readiness assessments.

Support continuous improvement of QA standards, processes, and documentation.

Assignment Deliverables

Defect logs,



issue tracking reports, and resolution verification documentation.

Test summary reports, risk assessments, and quality status updates.

Traceability matrices mapping business requirements to testing outcomes.

Knowledge transfer documentation and walkthrough sessions for Agency staff.

Final testing sign-off recommendations supporting production deployment.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

5-7 years of experience writing complex and complete SQL scripts.

3-5 years of testing experience using Informatica ETL or equivalent ETL tools.

Experience working on Data Warehouse and Data Migration initiatives.

Strong experience performing backend data validation and reconciliation.

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of Unix/Linux administration and command-line operations.

Experience within healthcare, public sector, or broader public service environments.

Security Clearance
