Position: Senior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist

Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analytical Specialist/Scientist to support the delivery of advanced analytics, machine learning, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment. The successful consultant will leverage modern cloud technologies, big data platforms, statistical methodologies, and predictive modeling techniques to transform complex data into meaningful insights that support strategic business objectives.

This role requires expertise in data analytics, machine learning, cloud-based data solutions, data engineering, and stakeholder collaboration. The consultant will work closely with business leaders, Data Architects, ETL Developers, and technical teams to develop scalable analytics solutions and actionable intelligence.

Scope

Design, develop, and implement predictive analytics, machine learning models, and statistical solutions.

Assess current analytics and reporting capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement.

Design processes to acquire, structure, transform, and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

Develop analytical frameworks supporting evidence-based decision-making.

Assignment Deliverables

Statistical models, predictive algorithms, and machine learning models.

Data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) solutions.

Technical documentation, design specifications,



and architecture documentation.

Data models, data dictionaries, metadata, and analytical frameworks.

Reporting dashboards and executive reporting packages.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Proficiency in coding and data manipulation, alongside SQL for querying and managing large relational databases.

Ability to source, clean, transform, and structure messy or unstructured datasets from multiple channels.

+5 year's experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS)

+5 year's experience with big data frameworks

Experience training, testing, and deploying predictive algorithms, classification models, and deep learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow or PyTorch).

Experience with custom. Web API development, ASP.NET. .Net Core, Entity Framework, Azure SQL, DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines etc.

Proficiency in all cloud service models: SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS

Experience with Agile methodologies including using kanban/task boards.

Nice to Have:

Experience with information visualization and dashboard development.

Experience designing analytical solutions for regulated environments.

Experience with Azure DevOps and enterprise-scale cloud modernization initiatives.
