Shape AI-enabled economic research at the Bank of Canada with machine learning, econometrics, and advanced analytical leadership. This Senior Data Scientist position supports research, forecasting, policy analysis, and data-driven decision-making across the Bank. You will develop analytical solutions, reusable frameworks, and AI-enabled tools while strengthening organizational data science capabilities. The work brings together economics, emerging technologies, quantitative modelling, and transparent communication with researchers, economists, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, deploy, and operationalize advanced analytical models
- Evaluate emerging AI, ML, and analytical methods
- Build reusable frameworks and scalable data products




- Partner with stakeholders to prioritize data science opportunities
- Communicate assumptions, limitations, methodologies, and results

Requirements:
- Six years applying ML, AI, econometrics, and statistical modelling
- Master’s degree or higher in economics or related discipline
- Experience delivering complex research, policy, or business outcomes
- Experience with economic research, forecasting, or analytical publications
