This Technician, Distribution Operations position serves a provincially regulated utility supporting more than 85,000 Alberta customers. The unionized role combines pipeline maintenance, construction, documentation, and public representation. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate natural gas distribution pipeline systems
- Respond promptly to natural gas related emergencies
- Complete documentation required by applicable regulations
- Carry out construction work under established procedures
- Provide customer service while representing the company publicly
Requirements:
- Three related-field years, including one natural gas utility operations year
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Alberta Class 5 licence and clean driver’s abstract
- Mechanical aptitude using tools, equipment, and instruments
- Residence within 30 minutes driving time of Leduc office
