Serve Brightshores patients in Markdale’s Emergency department through skilled assessment, treatment, and patient-focused nursing care. This temporary full-time assignment runs approximately until June 2028.

The Registered Nurse reports to the site Manager and supports health promotion, prevention, therapy, palliation, and rehabilitation. Duties include caring for Emergency patients, potentially working on Medical/Surgical, and escorting patients by ambulance when required. The department values patient safety, collaboration, continuous quality improvement, and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative care
- Promote patient health and maintain optimal function
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals




- Support continuous quality improvement and patient safety
- Comply with health and safety policies and regulations

Requirements:

- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration or eligibility
- Assessment and interviewing skills with interpersonal communication abilities
- Willingness to obtain required clinical certifications
- Self-directed practice with minimal supervision
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
