Bring carpentry and construction experience to NL Housing as a Maintenance Repairperson B serving residential properties in Goose Bay. Day travel is required.
As part of the Labrador Region, you will support approximately 250 rental properties. This permanent position combines carpentry, painting, plumbing, refurbishment, and minor construction. You will prepare vacant units, complete repairs with appropriate equipment, and work independently while managing materials, records, and assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Refurbish residential units and prepare vacant properties for occupancy
- Repair doors, windows, flooring, siding, cabinetry, and drywall
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures and explicit blockages
- Complete minor electrical tasks and check safety systems
- Manage time, estimate supplies, and document completed work
Requirements:
- Residential carpentry, maintenance, or construction experience
- Residential plastering and painting experience
- Basic plumbing experience using appropriate tools
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Willingness to accept significant day travel and remote overnight travel
