Nova Scotia Public Works requires a Baseperson II for its Zone 34 maintenance base. You will help maintain productive communications while dispatching people, materials, and equipment. Your duties include public information, customer complaints, operator monitoring, inventory, and Occupational Health, Safety and Environment records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate communications within the Maintenance Base
- Dispatch resources for summer and winter road operations
- Record Equipment Operator hours for callout purposes
- Monitor snow and ice control activities




- Order maintenance inventory and maintain equipment records

Requirements:

- High school completion and four years office management experience
- Equivalent combination of training and experience may qualify
- Excellent computer skills and accurate data entry abilities
- Mathematical aptitude with strong organizational and deadline skills
